for some reason one day when i plugged a mouse in my laptop it just stop working , the red light under the mouse is on, its an optical mouse connected by usb it use to work for like a week and then it just stop working can someone please help me.

This is usually an issue with USB device recognition.

Go to Device manager and then plug in the device, check where it is recognised. If it is recognised as a unrecognised USB device it might be broken. If it is recognised as a mouse I woul dreinstall the mouse software.
