Not at all...we like your posts. The thing about Vista is that we've been waiting so long, and even though we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, there are still questions on whether or not the OS will be 100% ready for distribution. As for me, at the end of next month I'll start to build a "Vista capable" PC. I already have a mid-size case with 600 watts modular power supply, and the motherboard/CPU are on the way. By the time Vista rolls around, my new PC will be ready to roll as well.

Didn't realise your post was one to reply to ant But, as you wish I agree vista is the os that many people will be using for the next 7-10 years... I do hope it is a roaring success... I am annoyed that although they have changed much they have been limited so as to keep their new os simliar to the old one... I was hoping for more - dont ask me what specifically, just more. I like stable os's where I can switch on and do stuff straight off the bat, but I LOVE being able to make an os my own and I am completely unable to do that with windows... its close source nature and 'ease of use' means that its their way or the highway! I will get vista, and I will use it alot, but it will never feel mine

Yes its true Windows is limited to what you can do with it, But i think thats the key to its success, Average people and business want a set of standards and Windows does that successfully. Unfortunately that means the more keen computer users cant improve on the standards set by Microsoft, Witch is annoying because your way of doing things might be faster easyer and more desirable to yourself.

Thanks for the compliment Felix,

Good luck with your hardware Upgrades. I found it hard to get the right balance of Cost and Quality in my upgrade experience but i got there in the end.

You see your in England, and I'm in the US, not sure about the rest, but the mail is slow as bloddy hell at this distance, so...

Kidding aside, I think many of us are as excited as you seem to be about Vista, since we've all waited a long time for MS to get off their duffs and do somthing different, and so far things are looking up. I agree with Crabby that it might not seem like it will be mine just yet, but give the tweek boys some time to play with it, and you'll be able to make it more your own.

I didn't reply because I an not exactly excited. I like Vista and will buy it. But, its is not going to change my life in any significant way.

Now, I'd get excited if we won the lottery. But, even then, what I value most, happiness, is independent of more money. Money might matter more at the starvation level, however.
