Here is a link that might help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_channel. The link does not deal with exactly what you are asking, perhaps, but see what you think. And, welcome.

Look up the specs for your motherboard it will tell you what ram you can run and what configuration you need to use in each slot
I prefer OCZ ram its highly recommended on the net and works really well on mine

hmmm....looks like you graphic card is taking 64Mb or so for itsown needs. 512 - 447 = 64 (65 really). One of the joys and pitfalls of integrated graphix, you don't need to purchase a graphic card esp if not into games, video editing or graphics. On the other hand you usually lose some system memory.

According to Kingston you have 4 slots and your processor supports either DDR2 533 or DDR2 667 and if you want some real proformance get a 1 gig dual channel kit ram is cheap on club- it online weg site it is only19.95 for 1 gig of Value ram in DDR2 667 Kingston . Ram is cheap and having only 512 1 gig would help you system. Just make sure that is what is in your system for sure look at you manual.

I you look at the screen as boot you will see it reading the motherboard normally it will give you the name of the motherboard or just search the manufactures web site for your model
