I use both IE and Firefox. The reason being that IE7 is highly compatible with most sites, whereas, Firefox is easily customisable and secure. Niether is perfect, and both are very different. crabby

The websites our company makes have to be compliant with IE5 and above. Believe it or not we have had clients in the past that still use older versions of IE and they complain if it doesn't render correctly. Its a nightmare for coders and even designers as IE6 or less lacks .PNG transparency support. How ever there are some Javascript fixes out there.

Its annoying but it seems that the small minority of discontinued IE users must all reside in my area Its mainly down to the pre-windows 2000 users who cant update or the pirate users that cant update due to validation. We do recommend that our clients install Firefox for a safer, faster option. Another problem with older computers is resolutions, some people still run in 800x600!! Meaning if we want to do a site over 800px in width its too wide and we have to have multiple versions using if statements. Its probably the worst part of my job but its worth it in the end, knowing that it can cater for everyone's old ways.
