| Because of online classes for college not being compatible with Vista I have no choice but to re-install XP, however I pop the XP disc in and it doesn't work like it used to. The last time I just told it to 'install XP' and it did. This time that option is grayed out. How do I go back now from Vista to XP. Please help as I have procrastinated and ran out of time. | You cannot install XP through Vista, you'll have to boot from the CD. Also, keep in mind that if you install XP over Vista, you'll lose everything you have on your PC. You can run XP alongside Vista (dual boot), but it requires a little know how. If you just want to install XP and get rid of Vista completely, boot from the XP CD and install XP in the partition where Vista is install. If you want to keep Vista, we need to know a little bit about your PC.
