Remember Office 07?

What ever happened to office 2007....beta 2 was a while ago now and i would like to see a new build Evan if its not an RC.....beta 2 was good but they could have fixed a few things up a released a new beta, but my main worry at the moment is if you want office 2007 on your vista RC1 PC YOU HAVE TO PAY for the download. What is Microsoft playing at?

I understand Office 2007 beta has some big issues reported, so Microsoft decided that it was best to not bring it to the market just yet. More than likely, just as Vista, there'll be another beta out. I guess the reasn they decided to charge a $1.50 for the download is becuase they figure many people are downloading, so why not make some money out of it. It might not seen like much, but up till now a few million people has downloaded the file.

Typical.....After a bit of cash........office is a good product but u shouldn't have to pay for major betas such as beta 2.........I would have thought making it publicly free would help the product progress because of the bugs people would report.

What happened is that they received more bugs than anticipated, so they had to get back to the drawing board and start almost from scratch. As for the cash...the more one makes, the more one wants.
