Forgive spelling as usal don't give me ear ache for this but I have just noticed are wirless connection is not securied (yes yes I know the dangers I hear you all now other people using connection etc).

I can't to a complete walk through from Calsbad. But, use WPA encryption with a simple easy to use password. Go through your router interface to set the encryption. Use WPA-PSK and TKIP. See this link:

There is no need to use a fancy password as WPA is very difficult to crack, and one who can do it will have no interest in a home network unless the matter is very personal.

Like Znod mentioned, it's not difficult and an easy to remember password will do. You need to find the IP address to your router; either through the manual or internet. Enter the IP address on your browser and when it opens up there should be a link to access your home network and wireless settings.
