| OK, problem is not a problem but it is a speed issue. Laptop Acer 1GB DDR NON Vista Compatible but running Vista Home Premium Install - Upgrade every update that is 1000% legit. Internet connection is 802.11g via Linksys WRT54G every connection I have tested, warez site, MS site, normal sites where I can DL anything from... all Speeds are indicated at over 800kbps upto 1.8mbps. I keep records of all... and then tested again with my Desktop... Never Did I get speeds over 850 kbps. Can anybody explain this? Has anybody else had this happen?

| It could be desktop settings, software or diver issues.

| Rather hard to explain... but yes, the wireless system is running approximately 1.75 to 2.15 x faster in everything than the desktop. in every test. All drivers I use are (WDDM) both systems. my only guess is the difference in the wireless and the NIC Card in the desktop? Is that possible? or is Home that much faster than Ultimate? it was very strange to see every site I downloaded from in the 1.6mbps to 1.83mbps once I even see 2.1mbps....and when I dl'd from MS speeds started at 1.65 mbps and went up and over 2.0mbps... NIC card in Desktop is: Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) Are there any links known that honestly rate NIC cards on performance... Thanks in Advance

| That is really strange. I have two desktop computers wired connected and a laptop wireless connected and the speed on all of them is about the same.
