I was going to do a little tweaking today --- namely adjusting the RWIN. Buddy of mine ( whose not as smart as you guys- ergo the question) says that Vista is self tweaking or self adjusting. True??

| yes and no... when it comes to things like RWIN... no its not, youll have to tweak that manualy |

| I don't know what RWIN is, but the only significant tweaks I have done are chosing to run for "best appearance" rather than "letting windows decide" and setting my hard drive for "advanced performance." I am ignoring space saving tweaks. ReadyBoost might help some if you have a slowish machine.

 Thanks guys --- no problem here -- I am jus working my way thru this O/S and the question came up about tweaking RWIN -- I,m getting 10 Mbps downloads. As usual you all have the answers --- that makes me smart for being here. LOL

| The normal reg tweaks for RWin and MTU is handled differently in Vista.. so any of the tweaks you try from XP are wasted... .... been trying on those since dec 2006 and so far nothing.. that I can find

| ive had a look in vista and the registry and i cant find any rwin settings :S ill keep looking tho! |
