DreamScene and Texas Hold'em

DreamScene is all over the pirate places, and yes, they all agree it is very high on CPU and Video requirements...and it only installs on Ultimate..

A question on Texas hold'em (2/2/07) it was in my autoupdates. several BitDefender upgrades and 15 different language (now hidden upgrades).

Hi Ant:

I am glad that MS held off. And, I hope the pirate's pay the price of piracy in CPU usage.

Yes very true Znod I hope that it doesn’t use allot of CPU, if we have to wait months it will be worth it if it used hardly any CPU....It’s only the sheer coolness of dreamscene that’s making me want it so bad.....if it’s heavy on the resources it will be a letdown and I won’t use it

From Microsoft:

"Microsoft is finalizing testing of Windows DreamScene through a Technical Preview phase. The technology preview bits will be made available very soon. Stay tuned for more updates."

Thumbs down DreamScene

From what I understand, Dreamscene is simply making a movie appear on your desktop... and movies are cpu users...if you want quality...
"MS is trying to get everybody to buy more RAM... " IMHO.
from what I read it will be a long time before I try Dreamscene. Mabye MS will continue to make better use of time/money/resources than another movie player.

According to Microsft the video is pre-rendered and the GPU does all the work and not the CPU, if this is ture then it should be a nice little app...lets just sit tight and see for our selfs

Well I found a link if anyone wants dreamscene I tried it and found it very annoying indeed. Worked fine tho. 3 scenes included.

Link Removed

The link posted above constituted warez IMO. Thus, it has been removed.

You are most welcome felix.

I found it annoying due to the fact it took my mind of what I was focusing on. Really all it is is a screensave IMO STARDOCK (I think are going to supply some awesome visuals for it, although they don't seem to be downloadable as yet!
