I have tested it. It does work.
I do not use it, but instead prefer to use Auslogics Disk Defrag or O&O Defrag.
Manually I think Auslogics Disk Defrag is the Fastest going.. and I have had NO PROBLEMS while using it...Nor have I had a problem with O&O Defrag.
when I REDO an movie or AVI clip which I usually have to REDO 3 or 4 times.
until I get a good copy. it sort of messes up the HDD I use to modify, convert . After I burn the DVD or CD and view and If I am happy with it.
I delete all the files made then use Auslogic Defrag to Defrag that HDD.

I hate Vista's defrag tool it doesn't show any progress, I also use Auslogics and it works well for me.

It appears that I'm one of the exceptions. I like Vista's defrag. Out of mind, out of sight as it works on the background.
