Vista's Defrag program lacks. I still run it on a schedule around 4am but I refuse to do it manually when it won't tell me it's progress. Auslogics Disk Defrag v1.1.1.195 is free, simple, and has visual. |

| I like Perfect Disk. Nice visuals and nice options including defragging one's system files and swap file before startup. Not free though.

| I like Vopt 8.06 you can do so many things with it...the Tools sections is SUPER, and Info is extremely good. some additional tools - Cleaner, Tune Up, chk disk, ipconfig, ping, many more things that simple Defrag... I have been using since the XP Days...www.goldenbow.com not sure on the trial period, but I think it is 30 days. |

| The thing about Vista's defrag, like many on this forum have attested to is that it doesn't provide a clue as far as what is doing, if it's doing anything at all. I really think that MS missed the boat on that application.
