| Your intentions seen to be in the right place, but not everyone is going to agree with you. Members should have the right to say positive and negative comments. From your answers one think that you get mad because one disagree and sometimes you read too much into a comment. If you put too much information on one thread or post it is easily lost as the discussion starts. Is like if one or more people comment about ready boost, the other stuff there will be forgotten. |

| Well, here's is the thing. There is hardly anyone here who doesn't have some annoying posting habit. Lord knows I have huge problems with the way some post. But, I don't think that these things should be dealt with through public criticism. Actually, I have never criticized anyone's posting style by PM or otherwise. Regardless, if someone has a criticism, then sending a PM is one good option. And, I have suggested another possibility above. y eye's original post was just public criticism with no real indication of what his problem was and no indication of what he would do to correct the problem he perceived. Even after a second round I still am not clear on why he is having a problem. Personally, I see no problem with a sort of an online bibliography on a topic. I can't agree that the thrust of the effort will somehow get lost. Why don't we drop the issue and see how things develop? I think we ought to go with live and let live on our board. There just is no point in picking at others if their posts sometimes leave something to be desired from our own perspectives. Also, one can just stay off of threads they don't like for some reason. And, remember, anyone can create a new improved thread dealing my any one of my bibliographies. Feel free to use my bibliography threads as starting points.

| If a poster said nice post, the responses are always thank you or thank you for your comments. But why will a poster that not agree go pm. A good reply will be great, tell me why. I know people got mad because my comment on one liners but that was on the rules but told it was okay. but when i say something that don't agree I'm told to follow the rules, like double rules for convinience. I like this forum becuase it has many things that people can use and learn but if I have to agree all the time is not good. Sorry I just go someplcae else. |

| Well, you always will be welcome here. Good luck elsewhere. Like daz said earlier we are about "love and peace" here--although we sometimes fall sort of our goal. Positive replies are good in this context. Confrontational criticism is not. IMO, such criticism and similar things are a violation of our first community rule: General Rules: * While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
