What is it?

While trying to scroll up a webpage using IE7 vertical scroll bar, I accidentally pressed the right click button of my laptop instead of the left button. As I scrolled, I saw a red-thick line forming. I can use it to make an object, but it disappears as soon as the button is released. I captured the snip using Print Screen and it’s attached. What is it? It might be something common, but I’ve never seeing it before.

Looks like some sort of annotation tool, i think its used for when your laptop is connected to a projector or Smartboard.

Sounds like you'll be correct, but how did I activated it? I can't find a keyboard button or combination to turn it on or off.

Found the culprit...IE7Pro option. It's called mouse gesture (see snip). I did change the color from Red to Blue so I could verify it.

This is IE7pro gesture commands. It's an easy way to make IE7 do stuff. A line to the left goes back, a line to the right goes forward etc. If you check out the IE7pro options it gives a list of gestures.
