What is UAC for exactly?

I know Microsoft say that it is to stop 'unwanted' changes being made to your computer when someone logs on as a standard user, but is it for anything else at all?

Although it may be annoying, UAC is there to help protect your computer believe it or not.

Everything you need to know about User Account Control is on this following website http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/w.../aa905108.aspx.

Hope this helps, Wiggles.
