Why would anyone purchase a MS product on release?

Don't me me wrong... I'm glad *some people* do...

Just seems liek an excersize in frustration to me.

LOL, I see your point, rmccarley, but I think a lot of people are like me, and they just can't wait to get their hands on something new. Yeah, curiosity kills the cat, and all that, but there's no way I'd be able to wait it out.

I think the days of building a PC are finally over for me. I've done that so many times, my head hurts. I'll probably just buy one off-the-shelf, pre-loaded with Vista.

My current attitude is wait and see. I went with 95 as soon as it came out. I went with 98 as soon as it came out. I went with XP in about 2003 so I took a while...

I imagine I will wait and see. I am still not seeing a huge advantage to upgrading, so I will have to be tricked into getting it early. Otherwise around the first service pack or on a new computer with OEM.
