Your system should boot much faster--way, way faster--definitely less than two minutes. How much time occurs before you get to choose the system you will boot into and thereafter until you consider the boot to be finished. At what point do you consider the boot to have been accomplished? People measure these things differently.

boot and shutdown slow (CRITICAL ERROR)

Bios= To Welcome Screen=2 Mins 22secs
Then Another 2 To 3 Minutes Before All Programs Are Loaded Have All Media Centre Application S On Delayed Start So I Do Not Count Those In My Estimate Disabling All Startup S It Takes 15 To 20 Seconds Less

If the specs i look at on the web are this system it is one kick as unit so if it is new I would take it back to Dell for adjustment are there a lot of startup programs to cause it to load so slow and how does it perform once booted up. Plus go into the event viewer and see if there are a lot of error flags regarding WMI. Do a google search for WMI host Provider and you wil see lots of issues with this problem.

My desktop is much quicker all the way through. The two minutes from bios to welcome seems pretty darn slow. Also, the other two minutes seems quite slow too--for everything to load. I guess I also would recommend talking with Dell support, but don't mention the dual boot. Just talk about the slowness with the system that came installed.
