I don't think you are the minority in this forum, or anywhere else Znod. There are a lot of people purchasing PCs now, rather than waiting until next year. For the most part, I don’t foresee many problems upgrading a PC to Vista, especially a new-modern PC, which is what you are getting. I do believe though that some people are going to run into problems, especial y those who purchase a low-end quality PC.
There is another issue that buyers of PC should be concern about, and that’s the delay of RTM. RTMs are sent to manufactures so they can mate their hardware with their operating system. If the manufactures don’t have the RTM on hand, they don’t have all the resources available to determine whether or not their PCs will run well with Vista.
Again, to Znod or to those that are about to purchase a Vista capable or ready PC, I don’t want to sound like a party pooper. For the most part, your PC upgrade to Vista will go a smooth as a baby bottom. There are going to be the exception, but probably nothing serious that an update cannot handle. It mostly will be dependent in the quality of the PC, manufacture’s support and experience of the user.
