| Your issue could well be the type of media you are using. Make sure you are using CD-R media. In Windows Media Player do the following: Open Wimdows Media Player > Click the Burn Tab > Click the Down Arrow and select More Options > For Burn Speed select Medium > Select Automatically eject the disc after burning (optional) > Select Apply volume leveling across tracks on the CD (Recommended) > Make sure Do not convert (recommended) is selected > Clcik OK. Now select the songs you want to burn and click Start Burn

| An audio CD essentially is just a copy of a CD. Is that the type of file you are trying to burn? WMP will burn MP3's and audio CDs, but will not, as I recall (check this), rip an audio CD in the first place. Car players play audio CDs and may, or may not, play MP3s. I use iTunes for ripping and burning purposes.

| Excellent plan. I change them so infrequently in the car that they almost never get scratched.
