Is there any other way i can make my windows notify sound louder in vista, or is there an identical sound file that may be louder. The current sound file windows notify is located in my media file in my windows folder. just trying to figure out a way to make it louder cause i use it for my email. i have missed a few emails when away from my computer. Thanks |

| There are several methods of making any sound file 2 to 300 times Louder. Some programs are FREE and work very well. example: It's a great open source audio tool. Guessing your file is a mp3 file, download the audacity and the lame library and import the file. Select all the track and use the amplifier filter http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

| You may want to verify that your audio "mixer" sound level for "Applications" is set at a higher level. Click the 'Speaker" icon on the notification area and then click the "Mixer" link which will appear at the bottom. Use the slider to raise the volume level for "Applications".
