Make taskbar and title bar transparent?

Hey guys, I was just wondering exactly how one can make the taskbar and title bar transparent when a window is scaled to full screen.

I don't know if this is what you mean, but you can make it non-obtrusive. Right click the taskbar, click properties and untick the square which says "keep the taskbar on top of other windows"

The only thing i can think of is changing the windows colour, it still looks out of place when maximised though. But it wont be black it will match your colour scheme

I think it looks terrible and acording to Microsoft its ment to blend with the top of your monitor, but say you like the default colour scheme and you have a silver monitor.....not good....the only bit of the Vista UI i dont like

Me either. The good news for me? I almost never use full screen.

if u really want a window 2 appear like glass when maximized, make sure u have only 1 window open, right click the taskbar, and click on show windows side by side, then your window will appear maximized with the glass effects

Great tip. I have never seen a working answer to the question asked before.

It isn't a working answer... it is a way to quickly expand the window so it appears to be full screen. It's just like using the mouse to make the window bigger. But, it does the job for some people
