Hi Friends:

The upgrade king (me) has extended his string of highly successful upgrades--this time from 5600 to 5728. The installer identified no incompatibilities, and everything is working very well--including avast! Home Beta for Vista and Photoshop PS2. More later I continue to advocate upgrading if you want to save time and a lot of labor intensive activity. My upgrade too about an hour and 45 minutes. Here are two pertinent snips--Installed Programs and Devices.

I did a clean installed on my desktop and an upgrade from 5600 on my laptop and both worked well, I could not get Avast to work though.

You are very welcome felix. I don't know why you are having trouble with avast!. You are trying to use the Home Beta for Vista version, right??? And, here is another snip I like (admittedly snapped at a low intensity point).

I need to use Avast, so I would rather keep using RC1_5600, if it wont run on Build 5728. I suspect if M.Soft gets negative feedback on compatibility issues
that another Build will soon be released. I also run other programs that I cant afford to loose on 5728. Like, I finally got my printer to work on RC1_5600!

avast! Home Beta for Vista works perfectly for me and others. At this point, felix is the only one I know of having a problem.
