The difference is just number of supported languages and the size of the packs.

We would need to know the error code to help you with the windows update. Problems can usually be easily resolved.

Try to download the update(s) again, if you are still having problems, try the steps mentioned here: //http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941.

To all; you can access a list of Vista's error messages through this Microsoft website: Microsoft Update Solution Center

Post it really pissed me

i know what the error is but still i cannot resolve it. i've tried those things on the microsoft support, most of the support are already applied and some are sort of confusing.

Hexadecimal
Error Code Decimal Error Code API Error Description
0x80072F76 -2147012746 ERROR_WINHTTP_HEADER_NOT_FOUND

for your information i don't really understand those terms and etc. on vista updates. please help me felix and crabby and to those who can help me please.

Did you installed SP1? If the answer is “NO”, download it and install it from: Download details: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Five Language Standalone (KB936330)

If the answer is Yes, try System Restore to remove it.

1. Click Start, type System Restore and hit Enter
2. In the Restore System Files and Settings window, click Next
3. In the Choose a Restore Point window, click to choose the Restore Point that matches the installation date for Service Pack 1, then click Next (The restore point will either be named Install: Windows Update or Install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1).
4. Click Finish.
