| Earth to crabby. Come in crabby. Are you out there? Beam him down Scotty. ![]() What happens if I simply install a different Vista/key on my 3rd drive? Will I end up with a good boot menu--with boot-ability to all three drives? Does this link describe what I should do when installing a SATA/Vista combo--http://vistasupport.mvps.org/install...ta_drivers.htm?

| I believe the procedure shown is more than necessay as your drivers should be preinstalled. If you install any Vista (even the same one) with all drives already installed you will have a working multiboot menu... however the boot information will only be stored on your primary HD which can lead to issues if removed or formatted obviously. Otherwise... it's all good crabby |

| Thanks very much crabby. I triple appreciate your reply given that you are sick. I know that you are feeling better, and I am very glad. I plan to first install the SATA and its driver on my Vista = #1 drive and to get it working as a non-boot drive. Then, I plan to install a new-key/Vista on the SATA drive = #2 using "the" procedure to install its driver. And, yes, I will be leaving my XP Pro drive = #0 alone. Thanks again, Znod
