My my device will not work since installing Vista Ultimate. I have a p5ad2-E premium MB and intel chipset. I downloaded realtek drivers for vista they didnt work nor did the latest UAA drivers from intel. Any suggestions?

Suggest:
1. open system and devices and uninstall what ever you have installed for sound.
2. reboot and let Vista find and install Vista Drivers.

I am betting he tried that, but, of course, I am not sure. sawman you may be out of luck for now if what Snuffy suggests does not work. Oh, and welcome. I am sorry that we have had no luck with your problem to date. Maybe you can find a Vista beta driver for your card. But, you've probably tried that too.

Realtek ac 97 works in vista... here is a link to the newest driver which was released on the 7th of feb:

After extensive searching I found the driver. As far as I know it is for another mother board but is for the cmedia driver. I normally would not try something like this but I did and it worked. the drivers name is Pilote_I9880_Vista. sorry I dont have the link anymore. As I have been busy with numerous other things since installing. I check back here and plenty of people have made a response. I hope this information can help anyone else having problems.
