This is the answer I provided on post #2 of this thread: Although it's been a while, when using and upgrade copy of Win XP to upgrade Win 98, during the upgrade process you were required to insert the Win 98 CD for verification purposes. Don't know if it will be same for Vista.[/quote]
As of now, we are basically running on assumptions since we can get a specific answer from MS or any other source. I tried to test the idea using RTM, but when the installation begins, it provides not option to upgrade. However, this doesn't mean that it won't work with the upgrade copy of Vista.

Yes, it really would be nice if all versions of Vista were the same...
I currently have 3 different versions.
2 versions do not have BlueTooth...., 1 version has Bluetooth.. (DOH),
1 version has upgrade, 1 version can not upgrade, 1 version untested. DOH). all 3 are bootable, (Yes). All 3 are different in size, all 3 have Vista Starter,
Yes, and I'm sure MS wants too keep me that way...
