Dumb Question

Long to reader, first time poster.

Does anyone know if the Vista Home Premium Academic Upgrade includes the 64 bit version?

Welcome. We are glad you are here. For some reason, I am unclear if both 32 bit and 64 bit come on the same DVD's in general. I think that they do on the Retail versions, but not on the OEM version(s). If I am correct, then my academic guess is that both would come on the academic versions. Someone help me here.

if you get OEM version of vista you only get 32 or 64bit and not both

Cool, thanks for the confirmation about the 64 bit version and the link. Although, I plan on buying it at my college's bookstore for about the same price as that website.

Much appreciated!

Edit: I checked the link but I still don't know, do both the 32-bit and 64-bit come on the same DVD? And when installing, does it ask what version you want installed?

That link ^^ states that you require either a x86 or x64 processor architecture... which means it comes with both 32 and 64 bit

Sweet, thanks for confirming that me. But what about my question about how to install which version?

One way or another, during the install process, you will have the opportunity to choose the version to install--e.g., Ultimate.
