| Hi all i`m going to atemp to install vista home basic on 256 mb of ram.....due to some problems with my copy of xp i have deciaded to install vista...i know that there is something on the vista disk that prevents it from installing on 256mb of ram...but i have found a program to disable that check...so hopefully it works...:P...will post a update on how it is running after i finish...

| Hi all i just finished..and i have to say i`m impressed..it runs just as fast as my laptop which has 512...pretty good...so i have to say it is possable to install and run vista at a decenit speed with only 256 mb of ram...but everything ealse that i have on this pc is up to the vista minamal specs....also i installed home basic....so its pretty good..

| home basic has no aero dose it?.. well with 256mb ram it probaly wouldent work anyway :P but well done for getting it installed! |

| Hi yes it is good that it worked...and yes i did have my fair share of problems with vista..but thats all fixed now.. :P

| Hmmm, and I was worrying that it wouldn't run well with 768MB so I upped it to 1.5 GB, lol.

| It really just appears that way IMO. And, there is no test that can confirm or deny the truth of the matter whatever it is. In other words, regardless of the test results, there aways will be at least two competing theoretical explanations for them.
