I have a Packarc Bell W3334 laptop. When installing Vista, I get a window up, asking me for a CD/DVD driver. I have tried just about everything, but Im still having this problem. Does anybody else have this problem, and what is the solution, where can I get a driver. My DVDRW is a Nec ND-6650A. I have updated firmware. Scorpion :)

| i agree, you dont normally need a driver for a Disk drive. It may be a Vista bug but check out the manufatures website incase there is actally a driver.

| I don't think your issue is the dvd drive, but the driver for the IDE controller. If you have a motherboard CD look for a folder named IDE, it should have the driver for the IDE controller; insert the disk when asked by Vista. If that doesn't work, check the motherboard manufacture website for updated drivers. |
