| I use REG CLEANERS all the time, and the thing that suprises me is when you do a clean install of Vista..then install your prefered reg cleaner, I use Reg Vac 5.2... if finds over 3600 errors.(now that is junk).. I do fix them, reboot and have never found a problem.. reg errors can be a (sample: every temp file uncompressed prior to the installation of Vista or any other program), the less junk in your reg the faster you will boot... (sample: if you have 10k junk entries in your reg, while booting it has to find or fail to find before it can boot.) Speed counts to some folks and to some it does not...every program you install leaves junk entries, every one you uninstall leaves junk entries also.. I recommend you get a Reg Cleaner and use.. but again this is "my opinion".

| Ya I use then all the time and the other school of thought is that it does not matter if you just leave the old entries, useless keys, and obsolete entries etc, alone but I feel as if it slows down the system . I am just waiting for MS to come out with theere version of a reg cleaner if they don't have one already that is not know about by most people. I found this called the onecare Live PC Safety Scanner is the MS scanner but as far as I know it is beta for Vista. Last edited by airman : 03-08-2007 at 11:44 PM. |
