Is this on a DVD you burned with Vista on it? I saw someone else have that problem and they re-burnt the DVD at a slower speed and it worked.

If you just downloaded it and didn't have any problems with a virus or spyware, for example, it may have just been a bad save.

Is the downloaded iso 3.2gb ?? If not it will never work. Seems to be a hit or miss to get the full 3.2 from our microsoft friends. I use Ultraiso media edition v 7.6.5 to burn the DVD direct from iso image but U must have nero 6 or 7 installed too as it uses burning rom as a tool. Can get both from demonoid.com

According to the Vista team, you are probably burning the cd at too fast a rate or using the wrong media. Check out their blog post regarding burning the vista dvd for full details.

The MS servers are very busy once everyone heard about the public beta. So you may have gotten a corrupted download. If you downloaded it a few times then I would recommend burning the DVD at 4x speed which is plenty slow. I used Nero 7 and I've used Nero 6 in the past to burn iso files and I've never had any problems. If you PM me your postal address I can make you a copy of the DVD and shoot it to you if all else fails.
