Thanks felix. I use the sorts of VM settings you suggest. But, I probably won't add a swapfile partition on my laptop. Maybe on the desktop though. I have not yet installed Real Ultimate on the desktop. I wouldn't add a swapfile partition for a while though since I want to compare Real Ultimate's performance with the results of my prior tests of XP and 5740 (or was it RTM?).

Windows Mobile Device Center and Windows Mobility Center are different things. Do you have both. Windows Mobile Device Center is the one that is hard to get.

You are saying that both came on your Vista version??? If so, then you have a first. I have the real Vista, and I had to make the Windows Mobile Device Center appear by installing some drivers--that I don't even remember where I downloaded them from.

Lightbulb Fake or Real RTM by MSDN

I do not have Mobile Center or Mobil Device on my version of MSDN Vista RTM -
Now how can I tell if my version is REAL or FAKE.. ???
It is not patched with any RC1 or RC2 files..!!!
It is not the Bill Gates Version!!
It is not the Echo V32.vlm Version!!
It is not the Fenopy Cracked Version !!
It is not the WinBeta AIO 32-64Bit version!!
It is from MSDN..how do I check to see if it is the REAL Version.???

Question Vista on Desktop and Laptop

Laptop has mobile center & mobile device installed..
Desktop does not have mobile center installed .
Quote:
Note that many mobility features actually require mobile hardware; Windows Mobility Center, for example, will not appear on desktop PCs, even if you're running a Vista version that includes this feature
