Hi folks, I have a Windows Vista DVD with Build 5308 on it. Can I just install that and update to the latest build? or will I have to download the latest build and install that. I do not want to download a 3gig DVD ISO. Thanks Chris |

| Reply Undated for Recent 5472 Experience I don't know, but you could try it after imaging what you have to an external for recovery--if you though you would want it back rather than starting over. I upgraded successfully from XP Pro to 5384. Almost all of my original programs worked. That's not the case when going from 5384 to 5472. Everything was uninstalled and put in the Windows-Old folder even though apparently not incompatible with 5472.

| Edit: See Revised Post #2 Do you mean update to the latest build while online? I wouldn't try it. And, I am not absolutely sure that you can simply update one beta to another even after downloading. Sorrry, I have not tried it or checked it out, and I am on my XP drive now so I can't check conveniently.
