Hi, One new user with a query! I have installed Premium after having some problems with my Motherboard! a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3, so anyone with this board will need to go to the Gigabyte site and use the FAQ for that board and follow the instructions. Anyway i installed Vista and followed the procedure to install my Raid drivers which was fine, but how do i know my system is using Raid? I do not see the feature to press CTRL-G to enter my raid set up anymore when my system is booting and have been unable to find any confirmation in Vista! I have contacted Gigabyte but they are very slow with any responces. I use 2x250 sata2 Western Digital hard drives which was fine in XP. Help! Stefan. |

| Welcome Stephan. We are glad you are here. I am not a raider, however, and, thus, can't help you on this one.

| Do you know what you index was before starting RAID? You should show a pretty decent improvement--assuming you have your before RAID index. My drive index is 5.4--from a 250MB 7200 RPM drive. What are your drive RPM's? I would assume at least 7200. If so, then I have reason to question whether your RAID is working. And, by all means, enjoy Vista whatever.

| I'm using SATAII and my HD under ATA was 3.0 since I can not test on performance after initial install... I can not tell about RAID or SATA..
