I hope I'm not in the wrong area....if so sorry. I've been running Vista Business for a few months now and there are upgrades labeled as important however they will not install. They start out and then there's a window that pops saying module has failed closing...the upgrades get to either 30% or 75% and stop. Reboot is the only way to stop...but wont install. I've tried one at a time also with the same issue. There have been a couple that did work related to windows defender...but none of the important ones. I've also tried removing virus protection, Kaspersky then and totally removed with same results. Any ideas?? Everything else seems to be OK just not that upgrade part. |

| If you know what the KB#s are, search these on support.microsoft.com and download and install them manually. I had to do this once in XP.

| My only "problem" has been that one update would not install. However, I think it would not install because I didn't need it--which somehow might be the case here in at least a case or so.

| Good luck, I am still having an issue after I downloaded those updates. My computer is stuck on "Restart your computer to install important updates" but when I reboot the condition will not go away.. When I get more time I will get with MS support... |

| On ea one that will no install.. check your install history. and see if they are installed or not... if yes, installed simply hide them... this issue happens sometimes and during BETA TEST the only solution was HIDE them.... some but very few could uninstall the installed version then let autoupgrade work and it fixed the problem ... but the HIDE this will work...
