Does it say when it expires? ie: 30 days?

Go to Control Panel > System > Scroll to the Bottom. You should see how many days left you have.

No expiration date, at least for now.

No worries M8!
Just wondering why people would want to run an older build forever?
MS WILL catch up to you..you can bank on that, plus there are ways to activate and validate RTM Business Edition without hacks or cracks (once again, not that I would condone such behavior)

I really don't think that most people would want to run Vista, especially an evaluation copy, for ever. I think it is more of not having to reinstall it every 30-days. Eventually, sooner than later, those copies will be obsolete with no updates and with multiple problems.

I wonder though the difference in between an "evaluation" copy and one that doesn't mention anything about being an evaluation copy. I imagine that both copies would fall in the same category as both are 6000 build.

I wonder if RTM will be upgradeable to Fiji and then to Vienna.

Send a message via MSN to Snuffy
"Not evaluation any more"

DL'd and installed the Validation check... said my version was not genuine.
So I reinstalled Ultimate, using NO KEY.. the upgrade was about 45 min long, and the EVALUATION.COPY in lower right corner is GONE... so apparently the original upgrade from v5840 to 6000 had a problem. I have 29 days left to activate, all upgrades are forth comming again.. The upgrade removed all previous 14 upgrades...my personalized settings are unchanged. I'll try the changing "KEY" later, want to use for awhile to make sure nothing changes.
slmgr.vbs -dlv shows Vista, Retail channel... Validation shows Genuine Copy now.
