For some reason my vista 6000 wont upgrade my xp install... Vista gets to copying files 100% then a pop up says that the install failed and thats it... no more info as to why it failed.. But i can do a clean install by booting from the dvd with no problems.. Anyone got a clue as to whats up? Cheers |

On the other hand, your file may be corrupt, or you may have burned your disk too fast. 4X or less is recommended for burning.

Strange to me, that some versions will upgrade from XP to Vista and some will not.. (2n HD)I upgraded to v5840 then to RTM... (1st HD) XP will not upgrade to Vista RTM disk....It might be due to the SCSI Drivers I use (which UpGrade Advisor did not tell me about!!) which I manually added to v5840.. That is the only thing I can think of.. Yes, they are "UNSIGNED" by Maxtor |
