| Make sure you DVD is in the original DVD reader, then reboot an choose the windows installion. you can uninstall messenger if you want prior.. but it seems that your installation was interrupted before it could finish... when installing Vista it should reboot and auto pick win install before it can finish. depending it can reboot 2 or 3 times. are you using any SCSI items or HD's. Vista does not accept SCSI you have to manually add the drivers, and many modems are not found.. disable any modems or remove unless you 100% need them.. remove any SCSI cards... make sure your Firewall is disabled or not installed, and remove any AV programs.. you might also check you startup and remove all extra programs..which are non windows related.. since Vista will attempt to find drivers and install everything in that list...

| Not that I don't want to help. But I can't decipher what you are saying. Your issue is during an upgrade installation that gets to 68% then fails? If so, have you tried a clean install? You most likely have an incompatible piece of software which isn't detected by the installer before hand. crabby |

| Glad your up on Vista, and hope you can find the Video ???? driver you need. Apparently Advisor missed your program. While testing Vistaupgrade advisor 3 it still misses 2 item I use... all the time...and I still have to use 3rd party drivers for both...
